I have built four ADU's in the past two years. I have experience working with the City, the architect, the banker and all
of the subcontractors.

Homes and ADUs
Every house in Portland is allowed to have an Accessory Dwelling Unit on it. The ADU can be in the basement, in the attic, attached to the house or detached. The four ADUs I have built recently (and own with a partner) are all 2 bedroom units of 800 square feet. They rent for about $1,900 each. It is not hard to build an ADU that gives positive cash flow the first month it is occupied. I have a team of professionals who make it easy.

Real Estate Investing
My investment partner, Gena Hutton, and I developed this 19-unit, 56-bedroom apartment building one block from the University of Oregon campus. We developed it with partners, kept it for five years and sold it in 2014.

I built and sold this spec house in Eugene with Gena. I partitioned to create the building lot. Featured in 2008 in the Register Guard, Eugene, OR.
This is a lot on North Vancouver Ave in Portland. We just sold the manufactured home that sat on the lot. We'll be developing it soon.

Our architect, Keyan Mizani, is designing attached homes, each with their own ADU. There will be four units, each with their own rooftop deck.
Remodels
Remodeling is tough.
I strive to balance spending clients' money efficiently while getting the project
completed ASAP and keeping emotional distress to a minimum.
I eliminated a bedroom and created an expansive Dining Room.
Before the remodel.
This was a plain wall without a window. The client designed this bump out. Now, the gas fireplace is like a magnet for guests.
This condo was plain when my clients bought it. The architect had a vision and we made it real.
Completely new kitchen.
Maximizing south and west views plus indoor and outdoor living.
I moved the front door to make the galley kitchen big enough.
Big drawers in base cabinets make it easy to find pots and pans. The drawers can support up to 100 pounds.
